ARTICLE: Cubicle Workers Should Vote Based on Humor-worthiness

Scientists report that the typical cubicle worker¹ chuckles for fewer than nine minutes per day. Since the correlation between office wellness and humor is well documented,  national leaders should be those who provoke the most laughter. This existential aspect of corporate humanity demands leadership that entertains, either through superior jokesmanship,  or as superior fodder for the amusement industry.

As a guide, if joke supremacy in one candidate precisely equals the fodder factor of another, then the cubicle worker should vote in favor of fodder. The humor quotient considers both presidential and vice presidential offerings, but cannot involve ticket splitting. Thus, if Sarah Palin is funnier than Barak Obama, this could sway the cubicle workers vote, but you could not combine Sarah Palin with Joe Biden to defeat John McCain.

At a recent gathering of renowned scientists in Stockholm this principle was reaffirmed. Sarah Palin was not present, but representatives would have been included in the announcement had there been sufficient justification for subsequent projections. The opposite would also be true.
